DDE Example: Data from RS232 into MS Access

When application does not support “HOT” DDE Links, CPS Plus can act as DDE Client. In this case CPS Plus acts as a DDE client, connects to target application and initiates DDE communication.

Typical example is transfer of rs232 data into MS Access:

-          When the data is received from serial RS232 port, CPS Plus sends notification to MS Access (executes command/macro in MS Access).
-          MS Access establishes DDE communication with CPS Plus and receives data.
-          Data is processed in MS Access and can be saved to database.
