About DDE
DDE stands for Dynamic Data Exchange. DDE allows programs running on MS Windows to communicate with each other.
CPS Plus is fully equipped with DDE to communicate with MS-Windows applications such as Word and Excel. An example of such communication would be CPS to Excel link, which allows logging data received from RS232 port directly to Excel worksheet.
DDE mechanism implemented in CPS Plus allows full control over serial ports including: data logging, controlling devices connected to computer and controlling signal lines.
